Ran Nathans’ group meets Bugnyar.Lab

Bringing together Ran Nathans’ research group from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for a joint workshop in October 2025 with Leonida Fusani and the Bugnyar.Lab at UBB Vienna + Haidlhof Research Station + Konrad Lorenz Research Center turned out to be an inspiring and energizing experience.

Prof. Ran Nathan, a leading expert in movement ecology, explores a fascinating range of topics — from plant dispersal and the navigation of ants, fish, birds, and bats, to transcontinental migrations and long-distance movements of birds. In 2012, he founded the Minerva Center for Movement Ecology and has since been at the forefront of developing this field into a truly integrative approach to studying how and why organisms move.
